There is an amazing Facebook group called Production Resources Toronto that is an incredible forum for theatre artists here in the city. I always keep an eye on it, as it's always interesting what people may need ("What's the best way to make a huge batch of fake blood?" "Looking to borrow a projector" "I have friends touring a show and need help with accommodations"), and it is how I heard about StoryMobs.ca when they reached out looking for photographers. A similar post popped up last week from my friend Erika. We worked together on a show in January. They booked me and we had a fantastic shoot for a piece being developed with Rebecca Perry (Confessions of a Redhead Coffeeshop Girl) and the culinary talent at Phat N' Phull Catering. They were looking for photos to roll out during the development of the piece. Keep an eye on this!
The shoot was a dream come true. Erika, Rebecca, Meagan and Alannah were ready to shoot and had a clear idea of what they wanted, so we worked fast. It was a great mix of indoor and outdoor shooting, with lots of use of front fill flash to negotiate some shadows from props and balance the harsh mid day sun.
